Marianne 1 September 2011 at 14:39

Oh you lucky one.... getting a pink craftroom!! Storage is a real pain in the PIEP... I'm trying to get organised too and bought some boxes for the little things as flowers, brads and buttons. My clearstamps are in a drawer, but that is getting overloaded LOL and my rubber stamps in maps. Hope you won't be boared too much. Thanks for giving away such a love candy!! Hugs, Marianne MW

sandra 1 September 2011 at 14:56

I have feeling that you new room will be amazing!!!
Especially Pink color!
Tip:keep your wood rubber stamps in nice boxes and clear stamps in photo albums.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the chance!
This is amazing candy!
Hugs!
Sandra!

Christina 1 September 2011 at 15:03

Can't wait to see the finished space! I am terrible with organization, But I started out with binders for my clear stamps and CD cases. Some are still in the packages. I need help to!lol

Elizabeth 1 September 2011 at 15:19

Well, I looked and looked again ... you had me going there for a minute, Carly :) You're so lucky - I'd love to have my craftroom repainted but whenever I mention it my DH goes a whiter shade of pale! I laughed when I read about the increase in number of boxes and that you'd found stuff you had forgotten - it's not a bad idea to go through everything you have at regular intervals to refresh your memory. I store my unmounted stamps in DVD or CD cases - I buy them cheap at the pound store or supermarkets. You can slip the packaging down the sleeve so you can see what stamps are inside and label the spines so that they can be stacked on a shelf. Mounted stamps I store, on their sides, on a shelf where I can see them - haven't found a better way yet. You might also like to check out my blog to see my most recent storage find - it cost peanuts but I love it:) Hope this is helpful.

Hi!
Your room will end up so pretty... I can imagine it already!!!
I also need tips for organizing my stuff... specially the ribbons :)
The only tip I can give you because it works for me is to put everything in transparent... transparent boxes, transparent cases, transparent folders, transparent drawers as much as you can... That's my tip... I also saw that you've got many tips for the stamps!
Thanks for the chance with so great candy :)

Unknown 1 September 2011 at 17:38

Would love to see your new craft room!
I don't have a lot of stuff (yet...) so I don't think I can help you here. The only thing I thought about is putting the buttons in spice jars sorted by colors.
And your candy is awesome!!! Thank you for the chance to win :-)

Hugs Dianne xx :)

Lisa 1 September 2011 at 21:01

sweeeet candy, Oh I would love to win!!!
My crafty tip for stamps is to stamp them out on paper and place them in a binder soooo you can look through your binder to see what you have, even section them ie, Mags, sentiments, seasons etc.
I store lots of my stamps in CD cases and numbered them and then I add the number to the stamp in the binder to make it easy to find too.
hape this helps

MaryG 1 September 2011 at 21:05

Vee 1 September 2011 at 22:44

Hi Carly, I keep my clear unmounted stamps in CD cases and some are on acetate in ring binders. Wooden stamps are in drawers. I also keep my Nesties in CD cases too. I also use a cutlery drainer (the ones you use on your sink top) on my desk for things I use all the time. Cool candy, you're so generous.Looking forward to piccies of your new craft room.
Hugs

JLJ Designs 1 September 2011 at 22:51

I have sets of drawers that you'd use to store nuts and bolts (available in hardware). They're mounted on the wall. Both sets are the same outside size, but one has small drawers and one has large drawers. The set with large drawers is the perfect size to hold Magnolia stamps. The set with smaller drawers I use for jewels, buttons, flowers, etc.

Have fun setting up your craft room. Thanks for a chance at the sweet candy!

My organizational tip for stamps is to store them in CD cases and stamp the images on paper and place them in a binder.

I have a picture on my blog under title my stamp room. I have a shelf my hubby made me for single stamps, but of course it is full as you will see :O) I have Stampin Up stamps on a shelving unit in the walk in closet which takes up tooo much room. I do use empty plastic containers with lids for ribbon too. I put Christmas ribbons in one and try to do that with Holiday ribbons. I need help myself with storage, so hopefully others have great ideas :O) I am already a follower, and you candy is posted on my blog: http://thehoosierstamperleahanngast.blogspot.com

Fab candy - looking forward to seeing the room - envy you with such a huge space....storage tip -send some boxes to me!....address can be supplied...he he
Sarah x

Rufus 2 September 2011 at 04:51

It must have been like Christmas x 10! I'm not good on organizational tips...ha, I could sure use some though! The one thing that I ALWAYS do is stamp any new stamps into my book and note manufacturer, name/# and if it's wood mounted, un-mounted or clear. Then I know what I've got and have some (ha) idea of where to look for it! I've been a follower for ages, but am blogless so I can't link up your candy.
Enjoy the process to your new space!

I wish I had a craftroom!! I only have a desk out in the loungeroom and a set of 4 drawers so when they get full I have to do a clean out which only usually goes as far as the kids craft cupboard!! LOL!! Can't wait to see your newly painted craftroom!! I use scraponizers to store my rubber or acrylic stamps. But I have so many now that I've run out of space so now have them all stored in a box!! LOL!! I am already an avid follower and have posted your candy in my sidebar!! http://lilodesigns.blogspot.com

Isn't it amazing how much stash we need to be creative? All essentials of course!
Happy belated WOYWW

Yasmin 2 September 2011 at 17:09

Wow!Lucky you ...and so great that you found some of the hidden treasure you had...!
Thank you for the chance to win this amazing candy. I do not have many stamps ...just a couple of them actually ( we do get craft supplies out here ) so storage is not a problem at all. But a few of my friends suggest to store the clear stamps on PVC or acrylic sheets and keep them in clear bags labeled - all in one box . Another craft tip/ habit I follow is : Maintain a small booklet with a list of everything you have in craft supplies by category and whenever you buy something crafty...just note it down in the list. So when you need something you can check whether you already have it or need to buy more.
cheers,
Yasmin

I'm looking forward seeing the result of your craftroom! I'm having a craftcorner in my bedroom and that'll do for now. I'm happy with the storage of my unmounted and clear stamps . I've organised them by theme. My system for mounted stamps also works for me, but I think there may be better ideas if you have lots. Thanks for a chance to win! Greetings from Belgium, Annelies

Rosalee 2 September 2011 at 20:40

fionalawlor 3 September 2011 at 03:33

Wow Carlyann!! How lucky are you?! I bet you are so excited to get a craft room make-over :) Well since I don't even have a craft room just a craft corner, storage is a real problem for me. One tip I have ,which is mainly only useful if you only card make ,but anyway lol the tip is to seperate your paper and stamps etc. into themes. For example I have all my christmas paper stacks and christmas stamps in one large flat box on wheels, which i keep under my bed. Then when its time to make my christmas cards i pull out that box and put away some of my summer stamps etc. that I know i wont be using for a while. Also i keep all of my cling stamps on those acetate kind of sheets in folders.
Thanks so much for the chance to enter and good luck with all of your sorting out :)

Stacie (craft-princess) 3 September 2011 at 15:41

Can't wait to see the new room with everything back in place! :) I am already a follower and posted cany on my sidebar!

A few storage ideas I have picked up is putting cling mount stamps in binders...either in pockets or special pages you can buy. I recently put all my punches on those cheap IKEA metal bars...works beautifully! Also made some much needed ribbon storage for the wall. My ribbon used to be stuffed in a basket and I rarely used it cause I couldn't find anything...now they are organized! Hubby made something that looks like a dowel rod that can slide between two pieces that are attached to the wall. Hope that makes sense. If you want pics just let me know.

Thanks for a chance to win some great candy!

I don't have that many rubber/cling stamps to need proper storage. I stack them sideways inside a stackable plastic drawer cabinet. I group them according to theme ie. Christmas, birthdays, flowers etc.
Thanks for the chance to win this fab candy. Posted the picture and link on my blog paperpapier.blogspot.com.

FUN blog you have here!!! :):) My strage tip for stamps.....use old cd cases for the clear stamps. PERFECT!! and they sure stack neater too......or keep them in the packaging (if you can do this you are way more talented than I am cuz I tear the hell outta everything....lol) and store them in a napkin holder at your desk.... you can kinda flip thru and see what you want...this works great with alphas too!!

Wow what amazing candy! And how lucky are you to have your own pink craftroom!! I will post you in my sidebar at http://kelsmakes.blogspot.com/

I have a couple of tips for you:

store your paper by colour
your inkpads facedown, to keep them juicy.
colour some images to have some ready for quickness.
Use pritt stick to stick your stamps to the blocks
And last thing i can think of clean rubber stamps with baby wipes

I hope some of those help

Eva Laney 5 September 2011 at 18:49

Hmmm stamp storage is a tricky one for me. my way is not working well so I am going to change to clear cd cases for mine. also a couple of more tips, clean your stamps with baby wipes and store ink pads face down.

Hello! I'm your new follower. Thanks for the candy. I hold the clear stamps in photo albums. I put your candy in my sidebar. Greetings from Spain

Amy E 7 September 2011 at 23:50

Wonderful candy! Thanks for the chance!!! I'm a follower and I linked where I posted your candy info.

I'm in the process of getting a craft room makeover too!!! It's taken all summer and I'm so excited because it's almost done!!! Another week or two, and then I'll post the final pics on my blog. To me, the most important thing about organization is to be able to see EVERYTHING you have. If you dont see it, you'll probably forget to use it. I've had friends save me their old babyfood jars. I spray painted the lids silver, and use them to hold all my embellishments. I now have paper shelves, so I can see all the paper I have. I have a big enough desk, that it will hold all of the things I use regularly, and all of my stickers and flat embellishments go into clear page protectors and then into a 3 ring notebook. They're the only things I can't really see, but the notebooks are nearby to remind me to look through them!

I hope this helps a little! I'm going to go poke around your blog now!!

I use a Ferrero Rocher chocolate box as a stam storage. Okay, I don't have that many stamps but for the amount that I have, the clear container works very well.

Stampcoholic 13 September 2011 at 17:01

I have a blog but I still don't know how to do the side bar thing, I think that the most inportant thing that has helped me is be organiced, have stamps, punches, crared stock, ink pads, ribbons.... all together and that way you know where to go if you need somthing. If you want a picture of my work shop I will be more then plesed to send you some. my name is Vielka Cintron, my e-mail is vielkac@yahoo.com just in case I win.....:)

Crafting Aberrigines 13 September 2011 at 18:08

Hey ...
India is still gearing up with the culture of crafting and scrapbooking workspace... there isn't much stash I keep and we generally have extremely limited supplies here, I just have a small cupboard that stores most infact all my supplies..but yes recently I found plastic medicine boxes..which have tiny boxes attached together in a grid manner, each having its own flip open cover and each having different colour, I keep my extremely tiny 3D embellishments and other embellishments sorted in them. Since the boxes are somewhat transparent I can see my embellishments clearly. Hope it helps :)
I wish i had a craft room like yours ..may be someday I will get one :)
Oh By the way 28th Sept is my birthday ...hope my birthday brings me luck :|

I live in a small space. I own hundreds of stamps. I have stamps stored everywhere! Wooden shelves painted white in my studio hold most of my wood mounted stamps - I love being able to see them. Clear stamps and clings are stored in those pretty photo boxes you can by at craft stores. There is a little label holder on the front where I can identify what is in each box. Some of my seasonal wooden stamps are in the drawers of a chest in my living room. I have a system in my mind and can usually find any stamp I want in just a minute or two.

Thanks for the chance to win some goodies.

Donna 14 September 2011 at 15:22

Hey Carly

Thanks for this wonderful candy give away and I think your room is coming on nicely!

My crafty tip for you for your stamps would be shelves, I once went into a craft shop and she had all their stamps for sale display on a normal shelf, stored upright, that way you can see where you stamps are and which one you want and need, instead of looking around in some drawers or boxes for them! Hope that helps

Donna xx

Frida 15 September 2011 at 14:21

Such a lovely candy! I hope I win!!! =) I have become a follower and I have put your candy in my sidebar.

My tip:
Use folders to store your unmounted stamps in. Punch up stamps on paper, laminate the paper and insert into binder. Put the stamp on the back or front of the paper. Have one binder for Christmas, one for birthdays and so on. Wooden blocks are a little bit harder ... I have mine in a box. (I don´t know if you understand everything I've written because I had to use "google-translation" at some words. My english is not the best...)

Have a nice day! =)

Hi Carlyann! I'm Isabel from Spain, I can't give you any crafty storage tips because I'm still getting the hang of card making and I don't have many supplies, so I don't have problems with the storage...
I love the candy! Thank you fot the chance to win!

A pink room, I am soooo jealous! I'm in the middle of redecorating/reorganizing my space as well, although I don't get to paint :( I would suggest getting a plastic drawer tower I use that for a lot of little things, a drawer for buttons, a drawer for letters, etc. As for stamps I use mostly Close To my Heart stamps and you can buy a specific storage box for them which is awesome!
I'm your newest follower and your candy will be on my sidebar! Thanks for the giveaway!

I saw a great storage tip! Buy a wooden shoe holder and put all your punches on it! If I remember the site I will let you know but it was cool! TFS CallyAnn(folower)

Wow, fab candy hun! Thanks for the chance to win it! I dont really have any tips, but I have two massive bookshelves which store all my crafty stuff on. I have 4 ikea plastic storage boxes on each shelf. For the ones that contain my stamps, if they are not wooden stamps, I have cut blocks of acetate and sandwiched the stamp between two pieces if that makes sense! Prob not lol Anyway, goodluck to all - PS LOVE the colour of your new craft room! ;) xx

Hey there.... thanks for a chance to win this awesome candy!!!! A tip to store clear stamps would be a big box folder with many plastic folders in it.... have seen it with a friend and it so easy to access.... though have been planning to do the same for myself have to still get my hands on a good folder...

Trish and Treasure 19 September 2011 at 14:21

Hi Carlyann,
Thanks for the chance to win your amazing blog candy, it's very impressive just like your new room!
Firstly my Mum sends a tip : Don't put down.... put away- apparently this applies to everything! My tip is: Use unscented baby wipes (Huggies is the brand I use in Australia) to keep your stamps clean unless it's permanent ink and then you will need Stazon ink remover as well. Keeping your stamps as clean as possible will ensure you always get a crisp image every time.Hope you like my tip. Trish Munro

Wonderful candy! Thanks for the chance!!! I'm a follower and I have posted your candy on my sidebar. One tip that I came across on storing stamps is to store them in a binder file. You can even decorate the file as shown in this link - http://heathersscrappiness.blogspot.com/2011/06/young-crafters-unite-blog-hop-stamper.html

Wow, what a wonderful Blogcandy. Thanks for the chance to win, i've linked you on my sidebar.

Sorry i post my link double.

my crafty tip:
Rubber stamps are great fun, but everyone seems daunted by cleaning them. It is easy if you just remember a few things: Plain water is best, alcohol is a no-no, and a paint edging pad is a great solution.

Wow I would love a room that size all to myself. I share mine with the hubby's office. So far I have a chest of drawers full of stash and then a few stacking boxes. I store my stamps i a concertina folder. When I get a few more I will sort them into several different ones. One for LOTV, one for Tilda, etc etc. I buy the A5 size ones. Each pocket will store two lotv/tilda size stamps or one full a5 sheet size one. My wooden ones are in a stacking box. Anyway thanks for the chance to win this. New to all this blogging and challenges so off to check out Charizma challenges now. Hugs Lisa x

Hi Carla, I am your newest follower and have posted and linked your wonderful giveaway on my blog... visit me too sometime! Okay... idea??? Well I don't know if you have an IKEA store near you but for under $2.00 I bought kitchen rods 39" long and baskets for under a $1.00 and have 3 of these on the wall above my work table, it holds every thing from stamps, pens, inks, scissors etc. It was so reasonable and the baskets come in many sizes for any need. I am jealous of your beautiful space, hope you post when it is done! Thanks again,

Nikki 25 September 2011 at 00:15

Thanks for the chance for such goodies
I keep my stamps in a binder on clear acetate and have them stamped on a sheet right across from them saves me time and I can see what they look like and if they will work for what I'm creating ( the acetate with the stamps is in sleves so they don't fall out too ) I'm all about making it fit in smaller spaces :)
hugs Nikki

You have such an awesome candy!. For stamps you should put them in a an empty cd case. You can normally fit 2 maggies in a cd case and then put the names where the cd name normally goes on the side. Thanks for a chance to win some candy. Good luck with the unpacking part its always fun to organize!

I followed you, added you candy on my side blog, and left my linky. If your crafting room is small, the hanging shoe container is helpful as storage, you can also use stacking plastic drawers especially the clear ones, you can immediately see what's inside.
Cheers!

my clear stamps I have in A4 folders in see through wallets , I love them like this , can find them a lot easier than shoved in boxes like they used to be lol.
