Hey all!
It feels like a zillion years since i posted something smash* related on my blog! So I thought i should really get my butt into gear and share some of what I've been up to! There are some video's on my you tube channel (
links here) which i posted at the start of the year to some of the new smash books I've been working on! Hopefully i'll have some updated video's real soon as I've done so much more than what's on there currently!
Today i'm going to share a little brain wave idea i had the other day....
Today's Smash* post is about the new 2013 Tasty Style folio, which i hang my head in shame has been sat untouched since i brought it back in march (not forgetting the other untouched smash* books i have eeeekk! i'm currently at a stock pile of 23 of them and no duplicates! I think i only need three to complete the collection... which ya know me and smash* i will no doubt buy those soon haha!
The Tasty Folio is what it says it is very yummy! it's all food related! Though the one thing i don't like is the spine is green, there's already an ''Eco green smash* book'' but then in the defense it is kinda a different colour green! so it's fair to say it is different (or is that just me being picky)...
I've been questioning what to do with this book for a while and didn't want to start it until i firmly set my heart on what i want to use it for (I've been down the road of starting a book and hating it and yep guilty I've ripped out pages and started again!) so this time I've took the time to think and jot down ideas not just on this book but my other untouched ones too!
So my brain wave... I'm forever printing and writing recipes down i find and try out and have no where to store them so thought i'd use my Tasty Folio to create my own recipe book! I don't normally create the front cover first but i had another brain wave after searching for inspiration on pintrest of using an actual wooden spoon for my cover! I even found some DCWV paper's I've had for years (and i mean years) i forgot i even had which matched perfectly! And low and behold i won't be getting served divorce papers by my husband as i brought the ''in my kitchen'' Cricut cartridge what 1 maybe 2 years ago and erm never used it now...but AH HA! I told him i would use it!! It's kinda perfect for this project!!!
And i've even managed to squeeze some washi tapes two of my fav tapes in there both of which are from
Have you seen there latest tapes? i love the look of the Graduation tape and the recipe tape! (idea for this book!!!) the tickets & newspaper tapes look pretty cool too!
So today i'm sharing what i did with my cover!!! and here it is!!!
