Candy Cane Wreath

Hey! I'm back!

Before the new year arrives i'm squeezing in some blog posts i've missed over the last few days/weeks as i've been super busy with work! so today.... I have this fantastic Wreath to share!

It was my mom who inspired me this year to create something a little different, ahhh whom I trying to kid!, so she created some bog standard fir cones for her front door and as we go I wanted to outdo her! Last of the festiveness! & Candle Tutorial

Morning all!

I certainly hope everyone had a lovely Christmas! I did! and man i'm stuffed! i've finally been let out of the kitchen! haha (those who are on my facebook and twitter will know!) lol!

I'm here today to share the news of the issue of Die Cut Crazy (i know im a lil late it's been out a few weeks) but i've been so busy so better late than never! of course it's jam packed full of creativeness from all the DCC Family inc me! so i'm here this morning to share a few of my projects that can be found in this months mag! don't worry you'll still be able to purchase it even when Jan issue is out! why not subscribe ;-) that way you'll not miss any!! hehe!

So here's some peeks of projects you can find from me!

It’s nice to receive and send your non-traditional cards at this time of the year, but I myself only being 28 have a love for a little different yet traditional at the same time which is why I created this Angel card! Keeping in line with a quite Traditional Image, but yet a modern feel packed with embellishments and a lovely hanging charm (which the recipient could choose to keep!) I actually created this card for our Stop4Life counselor who's helped me and my hubby on our journey and we've successfully quit!!! yay! and i for one with all the stress never thought i ever would! more pennys for craftyness eh! haha! I'm hoping to jet off to Miami next year! wahoo!!! can't wait!

I'd like to enter my card to the following challenges:

Pumpkin spice - #52 Anything Goes
Totally Papercrafts – No. 197 - Christmas using Non-Traditional Colors
Cute Card Thursday -  #301 Anything Goes
Creative Belli -#185  Christmas (2nd week)

*Card Recipe*

*C/Stock - Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla & Whisper White
DSP -  Forever Friends Christmas
*Image - Lili of the valley
*Sentiment - From Stash
*Embellishments  - Gems from Meiflower, Prima Flowers, Buttons/Pearls and Charm from stash
*Ribbon - American Crafts
*Die Cutting - Silhouette Cameo

For my second project I decided to make something as a gift....

I’m all for handmade at this time of the festive period and love giving personalized gifts to my friends and family! This project is inexpensive and super quick! And perfect for my friend whom i made it for! Again I love the fact i can use my Cameo to design virtually anything i like! So i've written a lil how to...

Take a pillar candle (preferably one that comes with cello wrap, makes a nice gift to be able to wrap it back up) and the bonus is you can use any colour size and smelly ones too!
Carefully unwrap so that you can re-wrap it back up!

Using sheets of any colour vinyl along with die cutters you can create any shapes for your candles (please remember that vinyl is flammable so these are intended as decoration when used on actual candles). And gently smooth them onto the surface!

Re wrap your candle and there you go quick simple yet effective handmade gift! Not just for Christmas but any occasion!

I'd like to enter my candle to the following challenges:
Crafty Calendar  -  December Cold and Frosty
Little Claire's   - (Nov/Dec) #40  Make a gift

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!
And don't forget to check out the Magazine! I've lots more projects inside and of course the awesomeness from the rest of the DCC Family!
I'd love if you'd leave a comment to let me know your thoughts!

I Scored!!!!

No the title of my post isn't that i scored! well it is... but not the way your all thinking haha!!!
infact yep i couldn't get my hands on a particular popular embossing folder at the time of making this card so i sat a scored it myself! toooooook ages!! lol!!! and i can say now writing this post i do infact have the embossing folder haha!! Still it's all fun and games in craftyness!

This week's theme at Charisma is

TONS OF LAYERS!

EEEEEkkkk! i always struggle on these sorts of challenges but i love the way my card turned out with 5 layers! the papers are magnolia of course i love these so delicate and soft colorus, the punch is a martha stewart, ribbon from stash, pearls from meiflower, and the sentiment from kaisercraft!

Getting Punchy!

Afternoon all!

Thought i'd pop by this afternoon and share a couple of cards i've made recenetly but not had chance to blog!
Things are a little hetic at the moment in my craftroom i've serveral projects on the go from cards, to colouring digi's to making a photo album, to project life to smash* i've got a right little mix going on in there and as usual it looks like a bombs hit the room haha! But i love the fact i can close the door and come back and it's all where i left it! hehe

My first card today is my stary card! I love these little layered cards with minimal supplies used there great for using up scraps of paper or cardstock On my star card i've used up some scraps of MME papers i've had for yonks along with a beautiful sizzix embossing board which i seriously neglect hehe! The stars themselves are a star 1inch punch i brought a few NEC shows ago for the bargain price of £1! not bad even if ya only use it once hehe

On my second card i used my EK Success flower punches which i love i do actually have 3 different sizes but only used two on this card along with some scraps of cosmo cricket delovely papers which i've had for again yonks and never used hehe the embossing folder is one i think from papermania tho don't quote me, i should really keep packaging but i'm terrible for re-arranging stuff in my craftroom and not keeping things in there original homes hehe! opps!
On both cards i've used the gorjuss swirly text sentiments stamps from craftwork cards!

That's all for today folks! i'll be back at the end of the week with more project life and other things to share! have a fabulous week!

Thanks for stopping by! xoxo

I thought i'd shcedule a post to show what i've been upto lately other than project life (which i'm obsessed with haha!)

**Update - i'm back from work! course was yesterday and someone forgot to tell us!!! oh dear!! oh well day off for me!!! craftyness ahead!

I'm not normally one for simple and stuff like that so of course when i do CAS i tend to over kill it haha! but i love how my card came out in the end!

I love the negative effects i've been seeing everywhere recently and decided to give it a whirl!

I basically chopped out three circles different sizes with my nesties stamped the gorjuss Stampin' Up! flowers on kraft card with brown chalks and versamark and wanged them behind made my front with a sizzix embossing plate punched out some flowers and added lots of bling in the shape of gems pearls and the oh so forgotten dew drops! to create.....
Love how it came out!!! hehe!!!
