Something a little different....

Morning all!

I've been very busy the past few days organising thinigs into coloured drawers buttons, flowers, brads etc i've had no chance to blog! oopsie!

I'm here this morning to show you a card that i've made that is totally out of my comfort zone and is so not me! haha!

My friend shannon makes the most wonderful gothy punky rock chic style cards i've seen for ages and she's really inspired me to have ago! hmm... tho this card did originally start off black and white it got pink (of course) and purple added into it lol!!

I've dug out my fav bo bunny papers for this card and finally got around to using more of my doodlebug sentiment chips i love these!

 

 Now i know it's a bit random but i love these sparkly snowflakes and thought them different to add to my card... i think its compleatly naff but hey that's because it's not my style and totally out of my comfort zone... what do you think?

Morning all!

It's the morning of the night before!
What a fantastic birthday i had! My inlaws took me and hubby out for birthday dinner yesterday afternoon which was lovely!

Thank you to everyone for your lovely birthday messages!!



This morning i'm here with my latest creation! and yep don't die of shock i've put down my maggies for today and dug out my kimmies!! hehe! this lovely stamp i actually won a few weeks ago over at the kraftin kimmie challenge blog i've just not got around to inking her up! so.... that's why i'm here!!

Though i really like the sentiments that came with the kimmie stamp i really wanted to make a good luck card and sportingly the stamp goes fab with what i wanted it for!!
Again i've used a big lushious bow in ivory satin i'm a big ribbon fan at the moment i really need to stop buying hehe!! i'll never use it all!

Under the sea...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

Ok i couldn't resist! Yep lil ole me has turned 26 today!

Thank you to those who've sent me birthday wishes and beautiful cards & girls i shall get round to thank you all very soon!

Hubby's in bed this morning so i'm off to my mum's shortly!

I've such a busy day ahead of me i thought i'd pop by to show you what I finished last night, i'd actually started making this card about a week ago but had to alter it and add bits to it as you do!

If your in the UK and you shop at morrisons (yes that's where i work) you may have noticed a disney promotion on at the moment! yay!!! but... bad news for those of us who work the night shift all night long on repeat are disney songs, it's ok for about two nights when you find yourself singing 'under the sea' or 'just a spoon full of sugar' after that it kinda drives you nuts!!

So... as under the sea from little mermaid is one of my favourite disney films that's what my card is themed from today! Of course naturally it had to be the lush magnolia mermaid tilda i used!

I wanted to create a little tag that went with my card which you'll see how it slots together in the finaly piccy below, i adore the new romance tag doohickey i actually keep forgetting i have it lol! I wanted my card to be really vibrant and pop in ya face so the papers from echo park are a must!

Fly me to the moon... & Candy Reminder!

Heya all!

Gosh you say... me posting on a saturday... I know i'm off work now well earned holiday!!
yay! so i'm going to be posting lots of new makes this week

But before i do, i'd like to thank everyone for your sweet messages and e-mails regarding my kitty kat Strudel! He's fingers crossed looking a hell of a lot better today! His one tablets finish tommrrow so i've fingers crossed no more blood reappears and his tests on tuesday will be clear!!! I'll keep you updated!



I'm here this afternoon as i'm quite bit behind with things at the moment but when i brought the new magnolia kit from a friend a few weeks ago i'd forgot totally about Astronaut tilda! i forgot to buy her too! Then my wonderful friend Shannon came to my rescue! and let me swap with her for some other stamps!

She arrived today so it was like Strudel i've made you a bed up in my craftroom you go lay there! and i'm going to ink her up!! got very very over excited but hey can you blame me....

I adore her and she's such a beauty to colour, i love the extra bits that go with her, the moon and the rocket, the sentiment with speedy rocket which i carefully cut around so i could use it seperatly!

I've filled my card with lots of pink! hey whats a moon card without pink hey??
well that's me!! haha!

 Another close up you can see my tiny fimo stars that i made, i adore these must get them up in my shop soon for all you other Tilda fans!

I've dug into my wild orchid flowers again they're soooo lush, i'd brought these big roses a while back on a whim really should read size guides didn't realise i'd brought the big big ones so i've been struggling to use them, but i thought with the swirls and a few other flowers it looked fab on my card!

Gone Fishing.... & Kitty Kat Poorly...

Hiya All...

I need to apologise for the lack of posts this week i've been terribly busy with my poorly kitty, Those of you who visit my blog know i have two puddy cats Apple & Strudel (some met strudel on his post last week).

Be warned a bit of a long post!

Well.... my nightmare began at 10pm sunday evening just as i was about to go to work i noticed strudel was in his litter tray with blood in it... ekkk! I had to go to work but panic set in whilst i was there i was sooo worried about him i couldn't concentrate got my self in a right mess whilst working thinking the worst as you do... anyways... i came home monday morning unsure what to do i'd read all sorts on the internet what it could be but i decided a trip to the vets was a defo!

I don't trust our normal vets they seem to be the type to think of us as a young couple and rip us off with excuses after excuses making us spend more, so i took him to another vets reccomended to me by my friend emma, and also where my mum's doggie is registered, i must admit they were fantastic, throughly explained everything too me!

After some tummy checks and a not so nice thermomitor up his bum (which i might add he did not aprove off!) hubby found it quite funny that's how they take a cats temp! he was sent home with a couple of injections some crystaid and me told to get a water sample!!!
(how simple is that with two cats???) so bearing in mind its now 2pm monday afternoon i've been up since 9pm sunday night... Strudies off into my bedroom with me so i can get some kip and a spare litter tray with special litter to enable me to get one for the vet.... meooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwww

pppppppppurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..... nooooo sleep wouldn't settle having apple outside bedroom door crying for him... 9pm monday night came no sign of being able to get a water sample, i had to go to work.... not only this but i've had to suringe water into his mouth every hour or so just to flush his system.... so off i trots to work, leaving him in my bedroom hoping to come back to a nice sample lol!!!

(gross i know!!) but it has to be done! come back tuesday morning after being up god knows how many hours and finally able to take his sample back to the vet for testing.... phone call at 10am Strudel has blood in his water! and larasites, (so off back to the vets for antibiotics...)

£75 later.... and it's now Thursday evening, his water is i think no longer bloody but he's wanting alot of love and cuddles, hubbys been off for two days looking after him, very sleepy cat but he seems to be on the mend, at least it's not crystals which is life threatening in a male cat! (which is why i paniced) i know you shouldn't have favourites but Strudie's my cat and i love him to bits lol

He's got to have another sample done tuesday for the vet to test so fingers crossed he'll get the all clear!

So yeah.... apologies for not being around at all! i've been looking after my cat! I've not managed to get any of my DT commitments done this week eeeek!! Don't forget to check out the fab new challenge at Charisma today! and the new challenge from Team Abi on saturday at sweet stampin' i'm hoping by middle of next week as i'm on holiday from work to be back to normal!!!

My Card today is one i created last week or so ago i've just not got around to posting it unfortunatly... been playing with my new fishing tilda, when i first saw her i thought what a fab stamp for a male card! even though she's female!!

I've used promarkers on today's card, a firm favourite medium of mine i must admit! Tho i am going for Copic Certification at the end of this year!! woo hoo i so can't wait i just need to save up for my full sets of copic sketches!!! very many pennys! hehe

I've added a few 3D elements to my card today including the fish at the end of tilda's rod and the fish bowl at the side, i came across these for 49p they were actually part of a set that i brought from the works in our local shopping center! fab bargain!

My new tattoo's!!!

Hey all!

Thought i'd quickly pop in and update you all no cards to share this afternoon as i've only literally just got in! I've had my new ink done!!! wooo hoooo! Pressie from my hubby for my birthday next week! I absolutly love em! My friend is a tatooist and he's absolutly fab!!! gotta have more done.... but that's another day.....

Now then, some of you will love this some of you will think i'm dam right nuts and you'd be right there... but how many of you recognise this......



Apologies for the pic it's rather bleedyfied at the mo n bit sore! lol even tho i chickend and used numbing cream but hey ho!

Yep how many of you guessed it.... it's the magnolia butterfly! I loved the design soooooo much and you all know how much i love magnolia so why not!!! stamps can come in handy for more than crafts!!!

I had her coloured in black, red and two shades of blue can't make it all out at mo but once it settles i'll take another piccy!!! so that was my bday pressie (early) from my hubby!!

of course i had to have another!!! 4.30am this morning yep i was up all night could not sleep for nothing don't think falling asleep on sofa at 4pm kinda helped lol but hey! so ten guesses what i had done next..................

Strudle walked on me!! haha no seriously two lil paw prints on my hand something a bit diff in a diff place... takes my tat's total to 12 now!! oooo i so need a cupcake!! lmao ooo and those paw prints are also from inkadinkadoo meow stamp set!!

True maggie fan now!! hehe!!! i know im crazy but hey that's me!!! you love what you love at the end of the day!!!
tho it's bit sore now hehe!!!

Morning all!

I'm told my furry friend Strudie did an excellent job of posting my project on saturday! he passed on so many wonderful messages to me was lovely! and i was also told that alot of kitty kats also left messages for him too! awww!! how very sweet of your crafty cats to pop by and visit... you'll be pleased to know Strudel will be back in the future now he's earned my trust!!! hehe... and he's been a very good boy not scratching my new sofas!! hehe!

Thursday's are coming around so very quickly here at charisma!!

Not long till i'm on holiday starting to pack away the craftyness as i'm decorating!! eeekkk having withdrawl symptoms already lol.... well... that all depends on if i can be bothered as i've so many want's and needs to do at the mo finding the time to do them all isn't happening... so i may put the decorating on hold till the summer.....

When i first saw this challenge i was a bit freaked out as i never saw myself as a star kinda person but i really enjoyed making my card so much i've got to do another!!! hehe

I really went to town on the star factor, not just backing papers but ribbon which ooooh i need more!! and gems, brads and giant 3d stars too! I love this paper from my minds eye which again is one of my neglected lines... is it me or is it all crafters who suffer with serious bouts of neglection amoughst crafty things?????

I've even decorated my inside of the card today too! love those scallop border stripes from bazill basics they're so lush and come in so many different patterns styles and colours of course!

Ok that's good morning in cat language!

Yep you've guessed it i'm here hehe well im not actually today's post is brought to you by....

Me!!! Strudel!!! I'm Carlyann's favourite Cat (ok sssshhhh don't tell my sister Apple that) Yes we have silly names mum (carly) thought it'd be funny to call us Apple Strudel not realising infact she's the idoit who stands on the back door shouting us!!! hhahaha meowwww!!!

Mum's in bed this morning as she's not feeling all that well and is very tired from this working nights buisness personally i think she's a bat... maybe i could catch her... ok i'm being a good cat this morning as she's entrusted me in posting her blog today (BAAADDD Mistake!) this post is full of cats!!! Cat's Rule y,know!

Ahhhh well.... the saying while the mice are away the cats will play.... i think it's whilst mum's in bed i'll get comfy!!! meow!

Right then i better get my paws in shape else i'm not going to get my catnip as promised....

That's rather a cute cat dontcha think kinda reminds me of my sister....

Yep that's Apple or Applebob as she get's called all snug in her radiator bed, i don't have one of those not quite sure why mum only ever brought one maybe you could all gang up on her and get her to buy me one too it's rather cold in the winter tho mum is nice when she goes to work she makes sure the heating comes on at night for us! (tho it'd be even nicer if i got to snuggle like apple!!!)

So yeh where were my paws at...... mums asked me to showcase her cat project today (rather fitting seems im a cat don't you think!!!)

Tho the most important thing is it's her DT project for the meooow blog Sweet Stampin' (sorry about the meow caught my claw in sofa oooppps)

Girls Just Wanna Have fun..

Morning all!

Gosh it's such a drizzly damp day here in shropshire this morning, it's done nothing but rain the last few days, as soon the sun peeks out downpoor starts again!

So this morning and this afternoon i'm having a lazy day in my new living room! My new sofa's arrived yesterday and i must say they're like giant marshmellows soooo comfy! and yep i fell asleep on them last night oooo better than my bed haha!!



I'm here this morning to show off my latest Magnolia card! Yep i'm well and truly addicted to these at the moment feel very sorry for my other stamp brands they're well and truly being neglected!
I've gone for blue and white colour combo this morning with lots of sparkle! That's a compleatly different colour scheme for me and i must say i really love it!

I've used a new Tilda today one i brought in the glitterpot sale only £3!!! she's such a darling to colour too! and she kinda reminds me of me in my college days as karioke was all the range on a friday night! haha!!

I've used lots of bellies on my creation today! including fab shimmery glittery ribbon and pearls, and even some large pebbles inc chips that i've had for yonks! but i had the perfect sentiment from MFT that i needed the large 'FUN' to finish off!

My flowers have been created with a fabric blue one that i cut on my bigshot and the white one is a prima e-line decorated with stickles diamond ice (one of my fav colours) that i use alot of, put together with a lovely blue gingham brad.

Hey all!

I'm a little late with today's post because i woke up to no internet this morning! (Virgin media are not my friends right now and they're slowly but surly going to loose another customer to sky if they're not careful!!)

But hey ho! I finally got here!

Apologies now for this extra long post that's because i'm celebrating my birthday this month (24th July) to be exact and would like to share the excitment with my fellow followers and blog buddys! with a little candy! But...... before we do that.....

July is the month for the census of swans did you know that? I certainly didn't I knew they were protected something or another to do with the Queen! you can read more about how they count them here!

I've dug out my new stamps from magnolia once again this beautiful new background has some lovely little birdies on, i must say it's truly wonderful to colour, again i've gone for another colourful card out of my comfort zone! (i really must find some more stamps to use i'm addicted to magnolia too much one thinks.. is that a good thing or bad???) hehe

I've been wanting a martha stewart punch around the page set for a while right, but never quite got round to buying one well i've a few on order, but incase your wondering todays card isn't a punch around the page! nope i did it with nellie snellens dies!! i love how this card came out as the image was orignally going on what i call one of my ''normal'' style cards but i wasn't happy with it as the image was quite big the backing papers where quite lost so i thought of this idea!

All the colouring except the skin tones are with my fav pencils prisma's of course! and i've dug out my fav sizzix swirl die once again (can't get enough of this!) I've used the gorjuss Tilda with bunny stamp from magnolia and the brand new Bird Background from the new rainbow collection which i've been dying to ink up and colour!

So yes, before i get on to my candy! woohoo!! here's my final card!
